ABOUT BIOR
Bodrumspor Sailing Branch had started operating with the support of Bodrum Marine Association in 2002. The branch
took the name of Bodrum Belediyesi Bodrumspor Clup Sailing Branch, by merging with the Bodrum Belediyespor Sports Club Sailing Branch. The branch still practicing in Kayıkhane Facilities in İçmeler, had been successfull in and outside the country since the time it was first launched. Following these achievements, the branch, had started the BODRUM INTERNATIONAL OPTIMIST REGATTA in 2013, with the help of Bodrum City Hall. This organisation has become one of the highest attended organisation in its classification, throughout the world in such a short time.
In 2021, the regatta was a first in Turkey with 289 attendants from 16 different countries and became the first biggest special organisation in the country. Just by the 7th organisation, the regatta has suddenly become one of the world’s biggest organisations.
SAILING CLUB
Sailing Club of Bodrum Municipality has established in 2002. Sınce 2002, The club maintains its activivties in İcmeler Mevkii / Bodrum. City and the club organizing many local and national regettas.
